Richard Craig - Research Engineer

About

I am working and studying towards an EngD (Engineering PhD) in Systems (Thinking) applied to the cyber security domain and conducting research into Cyber Defence.

This blog reflects my own thoughts, views, opinions, comments, suggestions, or otherwise and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of the University of Bristol Systems Centre, the EPRSC, my sponsoring company or any other organisation I might have an association, or named on this site for purposes of example or explanation. Please see legal disclaimer for more information.

This blog was started thanks to a suggestion that engineers need to learn to self reflect as one element in a paradigm shift within the engineering profession. A blog will also act as a log and allow a place for discussion on the topic of SYSTEMS THINKING. I am keen to discuss and exchange ideas with others so we can ‘LEARN TOGETHER‘, so please leave comments or even write/send me anything to post here that might be of interest.

A quick google returns a number of pages on Systems thinking for business, but too often this is due to a buzz word being used to sell a product or service.  Over the next four to five years (2011 – 2015) I’ll be blogging on a number of subjects and looking to apply systems thinking to a wide range of topics.

All opinions presented are my own and not those of people/companies I work with or for.

    Hi Richard,

Got to see your profile when I was googling: phd “systems thinking” “security”. I got interested in your work and was thinking what is your focus area of research, etc. I would appreciate if I could get to know more about you.

    Many Thanks,
